A site that, unless you are the OH the day after a massive night on the beer, might just put you off your dinner! I’m not sure how these people do this - or why. I’d like to say “only in America”, but I’m pretty sure it happens here as well. As much as I like a good feed - with proper portions (nouvelle cuisine was never really my thing), some of the examples on here are just nasty.

Perhaps its also that they centre so heavily on meat - the bacon sandwiches look particularly nasty, as do the 100×100 burger thing. It’s all that saturated fat in one place. It’s real Homer Simpson territory - meat sweats and all. I’d advise you not to read this whilst eating - it may just put you off!

So much for 6 months before we meet up again. The FA Cup Draw has once again pitted the old enemies against each other. At least we have another chance to put the Scum in their place this season.

I know that this is last week’s news, but if your going to get Jesus to sing The Smiths, Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now is probably a good place to start! I love the FlashMob Opera stuff, so should set my video for this one on Good Friday.

Much to My Dear Friend’s delight, there is probably going to be a lot of references to Morrissey and The Smiths over the coming months. Like most of my friends, he is not a lover of the Great Man - either his politics (which, I agree, sometimes can be a little ropey) or his music. Luckily for me, my mate the Floor Layer, who is in the handful of my friends who doesn’t consider Morrissey a swear word, came around on Friday night to celebrate the news of our tickets for Cardiff. Much alcohol later, he stumbled off home. I have a feeling his wife thinks we are alcoholics, as everytime he’s around ours he gets horribly drunk. She’s coming to the Morrissey gig, so this impression is only likely to be reinforced.

Would it be really sad to start a countdown of the days to go? And people say I can’t get excited about stuff, just because I’m not into Christmas. This is REAL excitement!!

Cardiff St Davids Hall, 15th May 2006 here we come!

Driving to work this morning (in my new car - which has proximity sensors for reversing, of which more later, I have no doubt) I became fascinated by the woman in the car behind me. In the space of a couple of miles she had applied a full face of make-up, from foundation to mascara. Although we were queueing some of the time, she was still adding make-up as the traffic moved.

I think I’m slightly in awe of her dexterity - or is it that I’m astounded by her stupidity?

I bought a new car this morning. I hate buying cars. It’s one of those things I’m not good at and therefore dread!

As a result, I’m off to watch the football and have a couple of stiff vodkas. I’m sure it will make me feel a bit more in control (if the result goes our way!).

Overcome with excitement!

Morrissey is playing Cardiff on the 15th May 2006. It may be a Monday night, but we can cope! Booking is this Friday from 9am. I’ve warned the boss I’m going to be hammering the phone. I’m only glad my first meeting isn’t until 10am!!

Off for a lie-down!

I drove to work this morning (approximately 30 minutes) and popped out at lunch time (in the car no longer than 10 minutes). Over two radio stations, I’ve heard Pussycat Dolls “Stuckwitu” (I kid you not on the spelling) three times. Is this a case of:

* bad luck
* bad karma
* over-exposure of a terrible song on both commerical and non-commerical radio?

It’s Radio 5 on the way home - no chance of it turning up then!
